How God has led us to the ministry at Stout

Karen's Story

When I came to UW-Stout four years ago, I wanted to pursue a career in interior design.  Now having graduated with my degree, I don't feel like it is the path for me right now.  During my freshman year of college, I got involved with a Christian organization called Campus Crusade for Christ.  Through attending the weekly meeting and getting involved with Bible studies, my faith in Jesus Christ has grown so much.

I have also learned about sharing my faith with others and helping new believers grow in their walk with God.  It has been really exciting to see how God can use me and the ministry of Campus Crusade to reach students at Stout.  I have realized that although my education is important, it is not the most important thing, an eternal relationship with my Savior is.

God had placed a burden on my heart about my future this spring.  I was holding on to what I had decided for my future, and not letting Him take control.  I finally decided to give my future up to Him and forget about the plans I had made.  As graduation approached, a friend of mine asked me if I would be interested in interning with Campus Crusade.  I would be able to stay at Stout and work with the movement and students, leading them to Christ and helping them to grow in their relationship with the Lord as well as building up new leaders.  I asked God for direction and I cannot think of a better way to spend my next year, than to serve Him.
Sarah's Story

Ever since I came to Stout 4 years ago God has done nothing less then turn my life upside down… and I would expect nothing less from this year.  The biggest thing that God did this year was show/allow me the opportunity to work as a full time intern with Campus Crusade for Christ on UW-Stout's campus.  I have been involved with Campus Crusade since my freshman year, and was part of the student leadership team for 3 of my 4 years here.  And now I've been blessed to stay here for a 5th year working with the leadership team and solely focusing on ministry.  God has done a lot in my life since freshman year and I am excited at the place that he has me right now.

I know that this is God's will/plan for me right now because everything that I thought was supposed to happen for my future has fell through, but when this internship came along the doors just kept opening!  I know that God will be using my many weaknesses to greater His kingdom, and I am all for it!
